Alaska is a wild place and a true adventure. Wildlife is abundant, it’s pretty remote, the conditions are tough. I love it… and I don’t love it.
Denali National Park (2010, 2017)

- cross-country hiking, no trails in the backcountry
- a great place to get a glimpse of the Alaskan wilderness
- you might see grizzly bears, caribou, moose, wolves and dall sheep on the same day
- hiked two weeklong trips in different areas of the park
- would love to go back some day

Chugach State Park (2017)
Hiked from Ship Creek via Moraine Pass Trail and Crow Pass Trail to Girdwood TH. Got caught in a snowstorm. Great area just outside of Anchorage.

Resurrection Trail (2010)
- 115km (72 mi) hike from Seward to Hope
- pretty overgrown and not really scenic. Not really worth it.
